furnace, oven and dryer sections of industry. Manufacturing and installing
low thermal mass linings.

FCS Dixon Ltd
acquired TFW Dixon & Son Ltd in January 2003. Dixon's have established
an enviable reputation as a leading supplier of energy efficient
refractory linings, to both manufacturers and users of furnaces
and kilns. They are particularly well known for the manufacture
and installation of element support systems for suspending wire,
coil, tape and rod elements from low thermal mass linings.
To date the
company has supplied or installed over 500 of its Electric Element
Systems in plants as small as a few kilowatts and as large as 1700kW,
temperatures ranging from 500°C to 1300°C and in atmospheres
ranging from air to 100% hydrogen.
The Company
also has reputation for being innovative and operating in niche
markets. Customer's problems and the solutions to them are everyday
challenges. An example of these activities can be found in the development
of two new-patented systems:-
Fiberlok ®
and Fiberlok ® Retrofit an all ceramic fixing system for attaching
a range of non-classified or high temperature materials to the hot
face of modular linings, and:-
"WOB"
(Wire Over Bend) type elements are supplied to exacting quality
standards to give the maximum possible life and minimum maintenance.
As in-house design service is available and embraces CAD facilities
and the ability to supply information and advice concerning all
aspects of the design of refractory linings and elements.
Dixon's provide
its customers with the highest level of quality and a service, which
is built on a rapid and flexible response to their requirements.
The company achieves these objectives through the operation, maintenance
and commitment to its Quality Policies and Quality Management Systems,
in line with International Standards.
