As ever increasing pressure demands higher yields in production with the minimum downtime. Turning expensive or continuous plant off to undertake work on damaged refractory linings means huge downtime costs and more importantly lost production time.
Recently one our main customers in the heavy clay industry incurred major damage to one of their tunnel kiln linings during a kiln car collapse. As the tunnel kiln was the main production lifeline of the company it was imperative to get the tunnel kiln back into production ASAP. Although basic refractory repairs were undertaken, major damage to the kiln sidewall/ kiln car seal had taken place.
